Gardening with children helps them to develop a love and appreciation of nature. They love to plant seeds and watch them grow and to observe the butterflies, ladybirds and bees that come visit.
As well as basic gardening skills they will learn about seasonal changes in the garden, the importance of looking after our environment, recycling, composting and how the whole eco system works. We will plant wildlife, vegetable and container gardens and create clever organic defences against slugs.
We will learn about what kinds of flowers we can eat and about proper nutrition as well as lots of other joys and adventures just waiting to be discovered through hands on experience of the natural world.
